I send sincere condolences for Jackie's family and loved ones and all who knew her and loved her. I was in shock about her passing and it took me a bit to really process it. I am her cousin and we had so many great times growing up and thru life. We were 6 months apart so we were very often synced w life experience.... w school parallels..... and moving into having a family. We had so many great times playing at her home in Janesville in that amazing basement that we could rollerskate in :) Her sisters Marti and Kim were always doing really cool things and we always envied them and were inspired by them but they always treated us nicely even though we were the little girls tagging in. I am thankful that I was treated so kindly and felt like I was an adopted sister when we wd all see each other. It was heartwarming because I dont have any sisters. Jackie and I had a lot of fun socially in high school, and we spent more time together when she lived in Frontenac with her Dad , Judy, and brother Ethan and family. She had some great slumber parties in her Dads amazing basement :) We also had many great times exploring at our grandparents farmhouse and farm and orchard in Avalon , WI. We could always catch up to speed easily and reconnect. Later on when we started to have families we tried to stay in touch and we would talk about our kids and she would share lots of fun info about Sophia and Charlotte and Larry Jr. She really loved her children very much and wanted to have healthy food for them and a nurturing and clean environment. I remember when she needed a car and we had one we cd sell her inexpensively. So her husband at that time, Richard Hinger came to pick it up from Cali and it had black car seats w flames on them. We left them on in case she wanted them on so I told her she was a hot mama .....and she laughed and thought that was very funny :) That was one thing about Jackie was she was very sharp, beautiful, zestful , fun , and kind and she loved to laugh when she was having fun. We laughed a lot and had great times. I will miss her very much. The memories I have are great and special and really warm my heart . I am very blessed to have had those great times with her and to know her. May she truly rest in peace now. Love to all and hugs :) - Laura Hardin (cousin)
